Ah, iTunes again.
I only post on it when I find it (changed).
This one has lots of new features, so is a good release. However, if iTunes is frustration + to you, I’d leave this one alone until it matures a couple versions.
If you don’t need it, leave it.
Apple music is due to be revamped, so I’d guess this iTunes is geared to match the new features, or redo.
It has a couple spot were things don’t seem to be yet, but in June probably will appear.
It gets stuck if not careful, and sure, you can unstick it once you understand how, but,
So, there you go.
Me, I’m an iTunes guy, so I like it,.
I hate the way JAWS interacts with Itunes - you have to tab to do almost anything. But I can see enough to use it passibly. I wonder what changes they'll make to apple music? Encorporating lyrics would be nice. Right now there's a reasonably accessible app called Musicsmatch which interfaces with Apple music, either syncing your lyrics as you're listening, or yjust listing them while the music is paused. So fantastic!
Most of the streaming services are offering lyrics.
iTunes has had them for a while it seems. It just wasn't accessible.
Now with Apple music, maybe.
I think I was using Spotify the other day, and it was easy to click on the lyrics. I'll have to try again and see what I was listening to.
Early mornings listening, and you just enjoy, but forget what the hell app it is you are using.
Could have been Pandora or Witch Boogy. I have no idea.
Laughing.
why have I not known? you could search up lyrics from spotify? or no?
No, if available, you tap the button and they show.
It isn't a search. It works when the songs playing.
You get on that songs page.
Nice. I have been curious about trying spotify. I really love apple music. It has almost everything this lover of unique music could want. Spotify though, it works on my Iphone, PC and PS4, so that might be a worthy investigation. Has anyone here used both? I should probably just make a topic for this.
As for Musicsmatch, even the sync with music is accessible, which is really nice. it is its own app though, which means you constantly need to switch between the two. Still though, I highly recommend it. Much easier than using Shasam.
Someone posted in the Mac Voiceover group on Facebook that it's a nightmare on the Mac. Then someone else posted that it's not that bad. When I fire up my Mac later, I guess I'll find out.
It is just different.
Once you figure out what is what, it is actually better and easier to get from place to place.
But, people hate change.
I understand visually people don't think it is much of a change, but I'm here to say, for us it is.
One example, if you wish to get to your settings, instead of pressing the alt key, you now need to use the key stroke for help.
No ribbons.
Once you do that, you are going to use the same moves, but if you are say trying to add a file by pressing the alt key and it won't work, and you don't know to use the help stroke, you'll assume it is lost to you.
A few other things, so a learning curve.
You can't move left to right anymore, and you've got to select the correct thing to scroll through your songs.
Okay, no biggie, if you are willing to fiddle, but again, if you have just spent half your nights not sleeping learning iTunes, you'll want to remain as you are.
Key strokes when the day, so use that help and read the key stroke chart.
Laughing.
Interesting, my inbox has been blowing up with folks on both the JAWS and NVDA lists saying that this version is inaccessible and to basically stay the hell away, notify Apple, or both. Thus, I approached it with some degree of wariness, and haven't updated. I may do so, though, especially since I'll be getting my new Iphone in a few weeks. Either way, I'm sure that the version I have will be sufficient for syncing and stuff, and anyway, I do enjoy playing around with software to see whether it's accessible or not.
If you've got the last file saved, go for it.
Hate it, remove it and go back.
I can understand the grief on the list.
It works though, so I'm not sure Apple will fix this one like they did a while back.
Another thing, they are due to redo Apple Music in June, so after that, it might fix several missing things.
You can see the sections, but they don't do anything.
